I cannot recommend Southern Pool Design enough. We had an amazing experience with Mark (sales), Imelda (engineering), Jaymi and Amelia (project managers). You could not ask for a more detailed, competent, and overall responsive team. My job has me working with contractors frequently, and when I tell you this team is amazing, they are amazing. From start to finish this was a 10/10 experience.
We had a fantastic experience with Southern Pool Design, can't say enough good things about them. I would highly recommend them. We have put in 4 pools and by far this was the best experience we have ever had.
Southern Pool Designs made our dream a reality! We live in Lake Mary and had been searching for someone who could truly deliver a high-end custom pool, and Southern Pool Designs absolutely nailed it. From day one, they made us feel taken care of. I thought finding a builder who would actually listen and bring our exact vision to life would be impossible, but they exceeded expectations at every step. The communication was fantastic, and the final result honestly blew us away. It's stunning.
We absolutely love our new pool. Southern Pool Designs didn't just build something beautiful, they gave us a space to slow down and spend more time together. I'm so grateful for how patient and thoughtful they were during the design process. They really took the time to get everything just right and made sure even the smallest details weren't overlooked. Everyone I spoke to, from the office to the crew, was kind, professional, and seemed genuinely happy to be part of the team.
We had our pool built by Southern this spring. This is the second pool we've built and the contrast was night and day. The design was amazing. They were very collaborative and worked with us to bring the design we had in mind. The build was great. It was completed on time. We absolutely love it. We are out there almost every night and in the pool as much as possible. One of my neighbors described it as a "Sexy Pool". We are still working on our outside kitchen but we are very happy with the results.

Our Process
Find the fit
It starts with your survey. Then a 15-minute intro call to agree on your target investment, a 30-minute Zoom consultation, and a site visit. You leave with a written Site Assessment and a recommended design package, yours to keep whether or not you design with us.
This phase is free, with no obligation. See every step of our process.
Design it
Through the SPD Design Studio. We laser scan your property, host a discovery session at our Sanford studio, and show you your backyard in 3D renders, a fly-through and VR, day and night.
Your design fee is credited toward construction, and your Design Book includes a fixed, itemized price held for 60 days.
Build it
Sign and meet your dedicated project manager. We handle sealed, third-party structural engineering, permits and construction, with an update from your PM every week and milestone payments as work is completed.
It ends with a final walk, Pool School and a lifetime structural warranty on your gunite shell.
